(<a href="http://www.elmousa.com/presentation/">ELMO</a> is another popular brand &#8212; the name stuck since our new one&#8217;s red!) The coolest use I&#8217;ve seen thus far has been in a 1st Grade Science class. Our science teacher, Alice M. wanted to show our 1st Grade scientists what the underside of a snail looks like while it is eating. (They are involved in a 2-month snail study right now.) She put some watered-down cornstarch on a piece of plexiglass, put the snail on top, hung the plexiglass over the edge of a table and put the document camera underneath, shining upward toward the bottom of the plexiglass. Here&#8217;s a small video clip showing the very cool results:</p>
